What is an Escape Room?

An Escape Room is a physical adventure game where players solve puzzles and challenges to progress through a themed storyline. Here are some of the reasons we absolutely love Escape Rooms!

Great for the mind

Escape rooms challenge the mind by requiring players to use critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and creativity to solve puzzles and progress through the story, which can improve cognitive function and boost mental agility.

Team Building like no other

Escape rooms encourage teamwork by requiring players to work together to solve puzzles and challenges, which promotes communication, collaboration, and cooperation. Additionally, the time pressure and complexity of the puzzles often require players to delegate tasks and utilize each other's strengths, which can help build trust and foster a sense of camaraderie among team members.

A truly interactive adventure

Our rooms are built to immerse you by using detailed theming and technology to create a realistic and engaging environment that transports you into the storyline. This level of immersion allows you to feel fully invested in the game and enhances the overall experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Dark Hour Escape Rooms scary?

Dark Hour is known for our expertise regarding Haunted Attractions, however, our Escape Rooms are built to excite, immerse, "WOW" you. These Escape Rooms can contain strobe effects, low light, and sudden loud sounds, however, we would not consider it scary. There will be NO live actors in the experience with you.

Will my group be paired with strangers?

Not at all! Each game is private, meaning your party will not be mixed with others.

How long before my scheduled time should I arrive?

Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled game, leaving us enough time to take care of your waivers, and safety instructions!

How old do you have to be to play?

Anyone aged 6-15 MUST be accompanied by a ticketed adult, and each player must pay admission. Children under 6 will not be admitted.

Is a waiver required to play?

Yes! These can be filled out on-site, and accessed via computer, smartphone, or tablet.

How far in advance do I need to book?

Currently, all bookings must be made at least 1 hour in advance of the available time slot. Walk-ins are only available upon availability of open time slots.

If I’m late, can I still play the Escape Room?

If you are running behind, and your party has already entered the room, we are happy to put you in with your friends! However, if your entire party is late, pending the next scheduled game, we may have to reschedule you for another time slot.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancelations 48 hours in advance are guaranteed a refund. Any cancelations within this 48 hour time frame are NOT guaranteed a refund.
