Important safety, content, and website information for Dark Hour Haunted House and the North American Cryptid Museum

This Disclaimer is part of Dark Hour’s Terms of Service. It applies to our websites, ticket information, haunted attraction, museum, and related events. “Dark Hour,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Dark Hour Designs LLC., doing business as Dark Hour Haunted House and the North American Cryptid Museum.

1. Haunted Attraction Warning

Dark Hour Haunted House is intentionally designed to be frightening and may be physically or emotionally intense. The experience may include:

• Darkness, strobe or flashing lights, fog or theatrical haze, loud audio, alarms, and sudden noises.
• Startle effects, frightening images, confined or narrow spaces, low visibility, and changing or uneven walking surfaces.
• Moving effects, close performer interaction, crowded areas, and incidental or unintentional contact.
• Extended standing, walking, stairs or ramps in certain areas, and the need to move at staff direction.

Guests enter voluntarily and are responsible for deciding whether the experience is appropriate for them. Do not enter if you believe the attraction may create an unreasonable risk to your health or safety. Stop and notify a staff member immediately if you need assistance or need to exit.

2. Health and Medical Disclaimer

Safety warnings provided by Dark Hour are general information and are not medical advice. Guests with heart, respiratory, seizure, balance, mobility, sensory, anxiety, pregnancy-related, or other medical concerns should use caution and consult a qualified medical professional when appropriate. Dark Hour staff cannot determine whether an attraction is medically safe for a particular guest.

In an emergency, call 911 or immediately alert a staff member. Do not rely on the website, an email, or social media for emergency assistance.

3. Assumption of Ordinary Attraction Risks

By choosing to enter, you acknowledge the ordinary and inherent risks of an immersive haunted attraction or museum environment, including being startled, temporary fear or anxiety, loud noise, low visibility, walking near props or other guests, and incidental contact. You agree to follow instructions, walk rather than run, avoid touching performers or displays, and use reasonable care for your own safety and the safety of others.

This statement does not waive any right or responsibility that cannot legally be waived, including responsibility imposed by law for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or other nonwaivable conduct.

4. Museum Content Disclaimer

The North American Cryptid Museum explores folklore, regional legends, eyewitness reports, cultural history, field investigations, and theories about unidentified or disputed creatures. Exhibits may describe claims that are debated, unverified, incomplete, or interpreted differently by researchers, witnesses, historians, scientists, and the public.

Museum content is provided for education, discussion, and entertainment. Displaying a story, artifact, image, theory, or reported account does not mean Dark Hour guarantees that it is scientifically proven, authentic, complete, or free from disagreement. Visitors should use their own judgment and consult additional reliable sources when making academic, scientific, historical, medical, legal, or personal decisions.

5. Children and Sensitive Guests

Parents and guardians are responsible for deciding whether an attraction is appropriate for a child. The museum does not generally use live scare performers or jump scares, but it may contain dim lighting, unsettling imagery, creature displays, ambient sound, and mature folklore themes. Haunted-house events may be substantially more intense. Age recommendations, if posted, are guidance and do not replace parental judgment or supervision.

Guests may not lift or carry children while walking through any Dark Hour attraction, including carrying a child in their arms, on their shoulders, or piggyback. Dim lighting and uneven or changing walking surfaces make carrying a child unsafe. Each child must be able to move safely through the attraction and remain under the direct supervision of a responsible adult.

6. Attraction Changes and Availability

Scenes, exhibits, performers, effects, operating hours, capacity, entry procedures, and event details may change. An attraction may pause or close for maintenance, safety, weather, power failure, technology issues, staffing, emergencies, government action, or circumstances outside our reasonable control. The remedy for a canceled or changed event is limited to the option stated in the ticket policy, event notice, Terms of Service, or applicable law.

7. Website and Ticket Information

We work to keep our websites, schedules, prices, availability, warnings, and event descriptions accurate. However, information may contain errors, become outdated, or change after publication. A confirmation issued by the authorized ticketing system and any event-specific notice control over general promotional content when there is a conflict.

We do not guarantee that websites, email delivery, QR codes, mobile networks, ticketing platforms, or payment systems will always be available or error-free. Contact us before the event if a ticket or confirmation is missing.

8. Third-Party Services and External Links

Our websites may use or link to independent ticketing, payment, purchase-protection, mapping, social media, advertising, or other services. Dark Hour does not control their terms, privacy practices, technical systems, claim decisions, or content. A link or integration does not mean we guarantee or endorse every statement, product, or service offered by a third party.

9. Accessibility Information

We aim to provide useful accessibility information and reasonable assistance, but attraction layouts and event conditions vary. Website descriptions cannot address every individual need. Contact us before purchasing for current information about mobility access, sensory conditions, service animals, or accommodations. Safety-based limits may apply to certain backstage, technical, or restricted areas as allowed by law.

10. Personal Property

Guests are responsible for phones, wallets, bags, glasses, jewelry, mobility devices, and other personal property. Secure loose items before entering an attraction. Dark Hour is not responsible for ordinary loss, theft, or damage except to the extent responsibility is imposed by law. Found items may be handled under our current lost-and-found procedures and may be discarded or donated after a reasonable holding period.

11. Limitation of Disclaimer

Nothing in this Disclaimer is intended to eliminate consumer rights or legal responsibilities that cannot be excluded under applicable law. If a statement in this Disclaimer conflicts with a mandatory legal requirement, the legal requirement controls.
