There’s tons of fun this fall in Dallas/Fort Worth!
When looking for fun things to do in DFW this fall, you’ll have a lot to choose from. DFW is a very busy metro area, with many events of all kinds available all year round. Fall, though, has some very special spooky fun for the whole family!
There are several farms that offer pumpkin patches, hayrides, and other Fall fun in the area. Hall’s Pumpkin Farm in Grapevine (https://www.hallspumpkinfarm.net/) and YesterLand Farms in Canton (https://www.yesterlandfarm.com/spooktacular-nights ) are two of the most popular. YesterLand even offers a special haunted hayride and zombie paintball on some nights!
Local them and thrill parks offer a variety of fun things to do in DFW all in one location. Six Flags Over Texas has their Fright Fest event throughout the season, with haunt zones and several mazes as well as their usual rides, including the new Tormenta! coaster that breaks several world records! The former site of the Screams Thrill Park in Waxahachie is now Scarborough’s Hollow, a new Fall Fantasy Festival that brings Halloween to a fantasy-themed environment full of magic and wonder. The Dallas Arboretum features their Goblins in the Garden event for Arboretum members, complete with trick-or-treat stations, food trucks, an illuminated pumpkin village, and souvenir photo.
Speaking of trick-or-treating, any kid can get their fill of Halloween goodies throughout the month. Cities from Coppell to Sachse have planned events with businesses ready to drop candy in pumpkins while the parents browse. Neighborhoods like Southlake, Swiss Avenue in Dallas, Tucker Hill in McKinney, and Monticello in Fort Worth are legendary for incredible yard displays, safe walking, and massive payloads of candy on Halloween night! What’s more fun than free candy?
If you’re looking for the scarier side of fun things to do in DFW, Dark Hour Haunted House will be open throughout the season to offer absolute terror to everyone who dares confront the Coven and their evil plans to end the world. Featuring hand-crafted sets, indoor lines, outdoor food and drink trucks, tons of merch, and now the North American Cryptid Museum on site, Dark Hour offers a well-rounded experience of all things Halloween. The most fun you’ll have this year!
