The leadership of the Dark Hour Coven changes often each witch, with the specialties she has cultivated through centuries, fights to be dominant. Each of them believes their way is the best path to bringing about the Dark Hour– a magical eclipse that they can make permanent. Thirteen witches make up the covens’ circle. When a leader is supplanted or struck down, another rises to take her place; leaving no end of fresh hells and gruesome evils. No matter who leads the coven, they are all committed to the same twisted end.
The world’s most infamous witches have allied with Corva Hyve; the head witch of the Dark Hour Coven. Her ancient evil propels this alliance to horrors of epic proportions as part of a plot to bring about eternal darkness. If the Dark Hour Coven succeeds, humanity will forever suffer the creatures that prey in the night.
Corva Hyve, known as the Witch of Swarms, was born in ancient Egypt. She worshipped and coveted the powers that the ancient gods possessed. In an effort to become closer to them, Corva studied texts and rituals and soon became a Priestess of Khepri, the scarab-headed insect god.
Corva devoted her days to overseeing mummifications, and her nights to worshipping and sacrificing for Khepri. She gained no power so she turned her anger toward the gods. In a fit of rage, Corva boldly destroyed Khepri’s temple. Corva sacrificed herself in an ancient blood ritual and in death was bestowed a great power: the power over swarms. Not only can Corva Hyve manipulate swarms of insects, but any creatures that gather in large numbers.
Something has now drawn Corva Hyve to the Dark Hour Coven residing at Coven Manor. Through their dark arts, the witches now rise together from the shadows.
